Q: There are lots of golf schools, so what makes National Golf Schools special?

A: We know that every student has strength, flexibility, dexterity and physical characteristics that make them all different. Our teaching Philosophy is to take each person and use what they have to their greatest advantage. You will never hear a "one method fits all" mentality from our staff of Professionals. Learning is best done in a fun, respectful environment, which describes our school perfectly. Our award winning PGA Professionals at each location know what it takes to teach you in a way that makes you feel special. All of our Instructors are successful teachers in their own right, so they know how to bring out the best in you, no matter what your level. Our locations are all top quality resorts in beautiful settings. Our pricing is very competitive and we give you a lot for your money. Most important is our main policy: If you don't have a ball and learn what you need to improve your game, we have not done our job. We have great attitudes because we love what we do. At the same time, we take the responsibility of our teaching very personally. The rave reviews we receive on our exit questionnaires tells us we are doing it right, however, we never rest when it comes to making our students happy.

Q: There are many different National Golf School locations, which one is good for me?

A: They are all top quality locations with different prices that reflect each resorts pricing structure. All have championship golf courses and great Hotels associated with each. Westin Innisbrook Resort has 4 championship courses, fine dining, and is a totally enclosed golfing resort that once there, you will not need to go anywhere else. Tradewinds Island Resort is a beautiful beach front location for those who want to get in some slow down and relax beach time after school. Westchase is a newer upscale club that winds through a nature preserve, as does the Legacy location in Sarasota . Dunedin Country Club is the first PGA National Course and is in one of the most quaint little shore towns in Florida.

All of the locations are special in their own way. You can find out more on the Locations, programs ,and pricing button at the top of the page. If you need help, just give us a call or e-mail, and we will help you choose the location that is right for you.

Q: There is a 4 to 1 Student to Teacher ratio . Will I get enough personalized attention ?

A: Yes ! Our PGA and LPGA instructors are the best in the business and can easily handle 4 students, which is less than many other schools. If a student wants to lessen the ratio, we offer a 2 to 1 ratio for an extra $100.00 per person / per day over the package price. We also offer a 1 to 1 ratio where you have your own private instructor throughout the school for $200.00 per day over the package price. This gives our students all the options they need to make their experience memorable.

Q: What is included in the price of the schools?

A: Included in the package prices are the your hotel accommodations, lunch the days of your school, range instruction and on course playing lesson each day with your Professional, unlimited golf the days of your school, unlimited range use the days of your school, videotape analysis of your swing, a student reference handbook for your golf bag, and more fun than you could ever believe a golf school could be. The Commuter schools don't include lodging. That is a good option if you are staying with Family or Friends.

Q: What is a typical day at the school like?

A: Depending on the logistics of each particular location, a typical day is as follows: Meet your Professional about 8:30 the first day to get aquatinted, then it's off to the range for class. We teach until noon ( yes, we give you rest breaks along the way ) and then we break for lunch. About 1 o'clock after lunch, we go out on the course for our afternoon playing lesson. All of our students love this part, because you actually get to put into practice what you have learned. The good news is if you goof, we are right there with you to help you fix yourself, which is also a lot of fun. When class is over at around 3, you can do whatever you wish, play more golf, go to the range, go to the pool, sight see, go to the beach, or the 19th hole. Because of fly-ins, some of the schools start the first afternoon with a book signing and a 9 hole playing lesson, then we get to the above schedule the following morning. The page for each location has all of the details.

Q: What happens if there's bad weather???

A: In the rare event of bad weather, you will be able to attend the class the following day or receive a credit for the rain day to be used within 365 days of the rain day. Cancellations received within 48 hours prior to session date forfeit $100 per person.

Q: What if I want to make a change to a package that has already been confirmed?

A: With full payment, rates are locked in although National Golf Schools reserves the right to correct errors. National Golf Schools assesses a $50.00 change fee per person for any changes made to a package once confirmed. Changes need to be made by telephone through National Golf Schools at (877) 580-1500.

Q: What else do I need to know ?

Here are some other helpful tips for you to know.

  • A deposit of $500.00 will reserve your place in the school. Full payment is due within 10 days of the start of your class. With students coming in from all over the world, the logistics of our operation are quite involved. Any cancellations with more than 10 days notice will incur a $75.00 processing fee. Any cancellations with 10 days or less notice will be given credit towards a future school at National Golf School, to be used within 1 year of the cancellation date. All schools are subject to a resort fee depending on the location.

  • In Florida, you will probably fly into Tampa International Airport, Orlando International, or Palm Beach International which are all very easy airports to get around. If you did not rent a car, there is an Airport Limo service available at all of these airports. Guest services at each Hotel can also help you with these arrangements.

  • Even though Florida is typically one of the warmest areas of the country in the winter, it can still be jacket weather occasionally. Be sure to bring your bathing suit, a hat, sunscreen, and anything else for fun in the sun. Florida as a whole caters to visitors very nicely, so anything you forget can be purchased here.

  • Bring your golf clubs if you have them, but if you don't have any, we have top quality rentals available at a very reasonable rate. We like to make sure yours fit anyway, and we will be happy to check that while you're here.

  • In the rare event of bad weather, you will be able to attend the class the following day or receive a credit for the rain day to be used within 365 days of the rain day.

  • In a rare emergency situation, National Golf Schools reserves the right to substitute a course or lodging of greater or equal value to the one you are signed up for. For example, If the course you are scheduled to be at has aerated the greens or has a giant tournament going on, we may take you to another course in the area to play. We promise that if this does occur, it will be another beautiful location, and no additional expense to you.

  • Commuter schools include: Morning instruction, lunch, afternoon 9 hole playing lesson with your Pro, range balls, unlimited play after school, a take home video, and our golf tips book. Full school package includes all of the above and lodging with breakfast each day.

  • Be prepared to ask lots of questions and have fun. On your first day of school, we will go over your registration questionnaire that will help us get to know you quickly. You can print it off of this web site and fill it out in advance .

click here for a registration questionnaire

We will also have you fill out an exit questionnaire when you leave, so that we may continue to serve our students at the highest level. back to top
